The Conwed site is only one on the long list of notorious asbestos sites worked on by our firm, Sieben Polk P.A. For decades, we have handled cases for those seriously injured throughout the Upper Midwest and, in particular, Minnesota.

The Conweb Corporation’s plant in Cloquet, Minnesota employed over 6,000 workers during 1958-74 who may have been exposed to asbestos. Conweb made ceiling tiles and other products. Before business name of Conweb Corporation, the business was called “Wood Conversion Company.” Many local residents would work at Conweb during their summer breaks from college. According to the State of Minnesota, Conweb workers had the greatest exposure in the following departments:

  • Nuwood Board Mill
  • Nuwood Finishing
  • Nuwood Shipping
  • Balsam Wool Pulp Mill
  • Lo Tone
  • Maintenance and Repairs

We have earned recognition on a nationwide basis for our work on mesothelioma cases. Our standing in this area is evidenced by the fact that other firms and clients from around the country work with us when they have to litigate their most important asbestos cases in Minnesota, including a case resulting in a $400,000 recovery for a client injured when dealing with aircraft materials.

Come To The Source. Come To Sieben Polk P.A.

Why is our law firm sought on a nationwide basis for asbestos and mesothelioma cases? Clients and firms from around the country know that our Sieben Polk P.A. has worked on Minnesota asbestos cases for decades. As a result, we have already gathered and analyzed the evidence that courts view as critical to a successful mesothelioma case when it comes to illnesses contracted from working at the Conwed site in Cloquet.

SIGNATURE CASE AGAINST CONWEB:

Recovered over $400,000 for deceased mesothelioma victim’s family. Our client’s father worked as a laborer in the summers of 1967 and 1968 during college on the Conwed Lo-Tone production floor.

Further, in many cases, the asbestos site no longer exists. Some of these cases go back decades and the buildings are now long gone. We, however, still have that evidence; evidence that simply cannot be gathered and analyzed by other law firms who are often not even located in Minnesota.

Most important, perhaps, is that our success is also built on our reputation for compassionate representation. We make sure we tend to our clients’ cases, not just for the sake of exercising our own legal abilities, but so our clients and their families can spend more time with each other, not wrangling unnecessarily in legal technicalities best left to attorneys.
