How Does Asbestos Exposure Happen in Minnesota?
Video Transcript
“There were facilities and products that people worked around that routinely exposed people to asbestos. So common jobs are anybody in the trades, which in this litigation is a more obvious type of exposure because it’s well documented and there have been probably hundreds of thousands, if not millions of those types of clients, those in the trades. But we’ve represented airline aircraft mechanics who had very discreet exposures to asbestos doing their work on jet engines and other types of engines.
We’ve represented lab techs that did blood work and other types of tests like that that used very discrete, small products that contained asbestos that you would never have guessed. People in Minnesota have been exposed in countless ways and countless places to countless products. And what that means is that even though we know those types of folks were exposed to asbestos, it also carries the risk that their families were exposed to asbestos because oftentimes the folks that were being directly exposed didn’t know that, they often didn’t know that, and that means they were unwittingly bringing asbestos fiber home on their clothes, hair, and in their vehicles.”
